Call for expressions of interest: Workshop Facilitators (ASCEND Program)

ASCEND Cohort 3 starts March 30, and we’re inviting experienced facilitators to submit proposals for virtual workshops supporting youth personal and professional development. ASCEND is a cohort-based employment program for NEET (Not Not in Employment, Education or Training) youth, ages 15 - 30, in NL, NS, PEI and NU.

The CBC Pitch This! competition is back!

Think you’ve got what it takes to turn your short film script into silver screen magic? Prove it by applying to be one of five filmmakers selected to pitch their idea for a chance to win $10,000 cash from CBC plus post-production services during the 16th annual Making Waves conference. The competition is open to women and gender-diverse individuals who are WIFT-AT members residing in Atlantic Canada.

Applications for the 2026 Hideout Residencies are now open

Applications are open for the 2026 Hideout residencies and the Susan Buchanan Hideout scholarship. Now in its seventh year, the Hideout Residencies welcome writers, artists, musicians, therapists, and self-care practitioners to PEI’s south shore each spring and fall. In order to support Maritime writers and practitioners, the Susan Buchanan Hideout scholarship covering residency costs to an emerging or established writer or practitioner with financial need.
