Applications for the 2026 Hideout Residencies are now open

Applications are open for the 2026 Hideout residencies and the Susan Buchanan Hideout scholarship. Now in its seventh year, the Hideout Residencies welcome writers, artists, musicians, therapists, and self-care practitioners to PEI’s south shore each spring and fall. In order to support Maritime writers and practitioners, the Susan Buchanan Hideout scholarship covering residency costs to an emerging or established writer or practitioner with financial need.

FilmPEI presents: “Story to Screen and In between: How to move your Scripts to Greenlights” workshop instructed by Caitlin Delaney

FilmPEI is presenting this workshop for emerging writers. It integrates story development, pitching fundamentals, regional market awareness, tax credit, literacy, professional discipline, and industry access skills into one cohesive four hour workshop. The Cultural Development Team of Innovation PEI is hosting an online information session on Thursday, January 29 at 12 p.m. Atlantic Time for Indigenous artists and artisans living in Epekwitk. The info session will focus on the Indigenous Arts Grants and Indigenous Art Bank programs. The deadline to apply for both programs is Tuesday, February 17 at 4 p.m. Registration is required.
