Feedback wanted! Artisans and small businesses are invited to participate in InnovationPEI’s Survey: U.S. Tariff impact on exports for PEI small scale manufacturers

The de minimis rule, which previously allowed shipments valued under $800 to enter the US duty-free with minimal customs paperwork, has been eliminated as of August 29, 2025. This change means that all imports, regardless of value or origin, are now subject to duties, taxes, and full customs processing. This survey is intended to collect data from PEI small scale manufacturers to assess impact of this policy change on their business. Your feedback is valuable.

North Pacific Cannery Artist-in-Residence Program – Intake for 2026 is now open!

The Long Residency (21 days) is from June 28 – July 18, 2026 and is open to artists Canada-wide. The Long Residency is intended for professional artists with formal training or equivalent experience and recognition among their peers. The program is open to artists across the arts spectrum. Artists-in-residence are provided with accommodation and studio space as well as an honorarium to offset costs.

Confederation Centre of the Arts is looking for Summer Housing for artists involved in The 2026 Charlottetown Festival

Our 2026 Festival artists will be arriving at various times, but the majority will be on PEI from May to late September. There is also a need for shorter-length stays for designers, ranging from three to eight weeks. You can decide on all parameters in terms of the rental – available dates, pricing, house rules, etc. We will then add your listing to our private document, then artists connect with hosts directly to book, arrange payment, coordinate details, etc.
