Art Hive Pop Ups – Create in Community!

Paraphrased from arthives.org:

An Art Hive is a community art studio that welcomes everyone as an artist.

From an art pop-up in a local library to a community studio or gallery, at its heart, an Art Hive is about inclusion, respect and learning.

It’s a welcoming place to talk, make art and build communities. Responding in creative ways to things that matter.

The Art Hive HQ endeavours to spread this open-source model of community art studios that are free, non-directed, and open to all.

CreativePEI staff Becca Griffin and Molly Leeco host Art Hive Pop-ups at libraries across Prince Edward Island each month.

Who can attend?

Everyone is welcome. The event is aimed at folks for whom art and creativity play a major part of their lives, especially arts sector workers. Supplies are provided, or bring your own!

Although these events are aimed for adult audiences, children are welcome to attend with the supervision of a guardian.

What happens at an Art Hive?

Anything and everything! Choose from the available art supplies to make something new, or bring your own materials/work-in-progress project to work on. Come to create amongst a community, chat, seek advice, or get inspired.
