The Island Theatre Festival is seeking musical theatre performers, both Equity and Non-Equity for its production of Anne and Gilbert, the Musical. The festival takes place at the Florence Simmons Performance Hall in Charlottetown, PE
- Rehearsals begin May 8th, 2023
- Shows run May 27th through to Oct 8th, 2023
- Live auditions will be held in Charlottetown, PEI, on Wednesday January 4, 2023.
Characters:
Female-presenting actors for lead and supporting/ensemble roles:
- Character’s age-range: young-teens to early 20’s (many roles are double cast)
- Strong musical theatre singing voices
- Good movers/dancers
- Availability for entire run
Male-presenting actors for lead and supporting/ensemble roles:
- Character’s age-range: young-teens to early 20’s (some roles are double cast)
- Strong musical theatre singing voices
- Good movers/dancers
- If a fiddle player, please bring fiddle to audition (role – Moody Spurgeon MacPherson)
- Availability for entire run
One male-presenting character actor for adult track:
- Character’s age-range 30’s-60’s
- Strong comedic/character chops
- Musical theatre singing
- Some movement/dancing
- Availability for entire run
