Creative PEI’s HIVE Youth Cultural Entrepreneurship Incubator program will not be offered this winter to allow the program to be redesigned. The federal funding program that supported the HIVE in the past has been changed significantly and many of the features of the HIVE no longer meet the funding requirements.
“The HIVE has been a hugely successful program for us. It has helped over 40 young people launch their own businesses on PEI. We are going to look closely at the new funding structure and redesign the HIVE to make it work for everyone,” says Mark Sandiford, Creative PEI’s executive director.
Creative PEI expects to offer the new HIVE program later in 2018.
